Support Kakenya’s efforts to end child marriage in Kenya

Most Maasai girls in Kenya have to go through Female Genital Mutilation before they are married off at the age of 12yrs. Kakenya was one of the Maasai girls that had to go through such a process. Luckily for her, she made a deal with her father that instead of being married after genital mutilation that she would be sent of to school. Such efforts have paid of significantly. After getting her PHd she has started a movement of ending young girls from being married. You can watch her story:Kakenya Story

Here's how you can support Maasai girls through through the "Girls Not Brides" movement: Girls Not Brides
